On September 1, 2009 Kluge opened our new demo showroom at headquarters in St. Croix Falls, WI.

We are excited to now offer customers the option of seeing a live demo of our equipment prior to purchase at our demo room. In the past we have had to rely on tradeshows and customer partners to demo equipment presale. Now we have a place onsite to serve this purpose.

The showroom now features our new V-10 F Series Press, capable of foil stamping and embossing a sheet size of up to 29″ x 41″. The machine also has diecutting capabilities although stripping is not a feature of this model. Those looking to die-cut and strip inline should look at the V-10 C or V-10 DC.

A Few Tech Specs

The latest exciting add-on offered by Kluge is for their line of folding and gluing equipment. Our research shows that the capacity folder sector is an area of growth potential. We now enter into the market with the “Capacity Folder Unit”.

Sometimes dubbed the term, “Box Folder”, Capacity Pocket Folders are essentially a box pocket incorporated into a pocket folder or similar item. By enabling a pocket folder with a permanently large opening for inserts, the capacity folder can hold thick booklets, manuals or other multi-page documents without damaging the piece or the pocket folder itself.

The Kluge capacity folder option can be utilized for similar applications involving thicker inserts. For example with a DVD wallet, the capacity sleeve could be folded and glued to hold several DVD’s (or single DVD) in their case(s), used today in a DVD series or classic box set.

The versatility of Kluge folder gluers enables the capacity folder option to be added or retrofitted after installation of the machine. Those who already own an OmniFold or ComFold automatic folder gluer can rest assured that the capacity folder option is compatible and can be installed at the IL-9 (inline 9ft section) on your machine. The capacity option is currently only available for the Kluge OmniFold and ComFold folder gluers. The capacity folder option requires a hot melt glue system.

“What is the minimum and maximum gusset size that can be created?”

In short, the capacity folder option (http://www.kluge.biz/capacity-folder/) will enable you to convert a pocket with a gusset as low as .125″ and a combined maximum thickness of 1″.
